Dear PFE Families,
We are so proud of our students and the incredible work happening at PFE!
Our recent Black History Performance was absolutely amazing. Our students demonstrated tremendous talent, confidence, and pride as they honored history through powerful performances. The hard work, practice, and dedication were evident, and we could not be more proud of how beautifully they represented our school. Thank you for supporting your children and helping make the evening such a meaningful and memorable event for our entire community.
As we celebrate these successes, we also look ahead to continued academic growth. Next week, students will participate in Mock Math Testing. This assessment gives us the opportunity to determine what students have mastered and identify the standards we may need to review and strengthen before the official STAAR assessment. The information helps us provide targeted support to ensure every child continues progressing toward mastery.
To help your child perform their very best, please:
Ensure they get a good night’s sleep.
If your child will eat breakfast at school, please have them arrive by 7:45 a.m. so they have enough time to eat and transition to class. This allows them to begin testing with their class and hear all teacher instructions.
Students in 3rd–5th grade will bring home their score sheet along with a reflection form so families can review progress, celebrate strengths, and discuss next steps together.
While the STAAR test is an important indicator of learning, instruction does not stop after testing. We will continue teaching, enriching, and strengthening skills through the end of the school year to ensure your child has the very best start to the next grade level. Because of this, attendance through the end of the year is critical. Every day of learning matters.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child’s teacher. Your child’s safety and learning remain our highest priorities, and we are grateful for your continued partnership.
Together, we will continue to celebrate, grow, and finish strong.
Warm regards,
Wendy Anaya
