Dear Families,
We are so happy to have our students back on campus and to see their smiling faces each day! This week, we are especially excited to share positive news about attendance. We reached 96% attendance every day this week, with approximately 24–26 students absent daily. This is a wonderful improvement, and we would love to see our attendance continue to rise for the remainder of the school year. Thank you for partnering with us to make daily attendance a priority.
Students are deep into learning, and instruction begins the moment they walk through our doors. Each morning, students engage in bell ringers in 3-5 or soft starts in K-2 that provide spiral review of skills they are still developing. This early learning time is critical, as it allows teachers to address gaps and support student growth right away.
If you would like your child to participate in breakfast at school, we kindly ask that students arrive by 7:45 a.m. or earlier. Students who arrive after this time will bring their breakfast to the classroom and eat while instruction is already underway which is not ideal.
As we look ahead to colder weather next week, we want to remind families that we currently have an overabundance of jackets in the Lost and Found. We will keep these items through next week; however, due to limited storage space, we will begin making plans to donate any unclaimed jackets after that time. Please feel free to stop by at any time to look through the Lost and Found if your child is missing a jacket from home.
Finally, we would like to extend a BIG THANK YOU to all of our parents and family members who serve in Law Enforcement. While today is Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, please know that we are always grateful for your service, dedication, and commitment to keeping our communities safe.
We wish you a wonderful weekend and hope you enjoy the cooler weather tomorrow.
Warm regards,
Wendy Anaya
