From the Principal’s Desk
It’s hard to believe we’ve already completed the first quarter of the school year! As we head into our October Break, I want to take a moment to thank our amazing students, staff, and families for a strong start to the year.
Today, we celebrated over 300 students who earned their spot at our Perfect Attendance Pack Party! Students danced, played games, and had an incredible time celebrating their commitment to being at school every day. Attendance truly matters—it helps our students stay connected, confident, and ready to learn. Thank you, parents, for continuing to make daily attendance a priority.
Please remember that students return on Tuesday, October 21, and staff will return on Monday, October 20. We hope everyone enjoys a safe, restful, and fun break—you’ve earned it!
Your Proud Pack Leader, Frank Gerga

Starting in the 2025–2026 school year, Humble ISD will follow a new state law (House Bill 1481) that bans students from using personal communication devices during the school day.
Once students enter the school building in the morning until the dismissal bell rings, personal devices may not be used whether in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, or restrooms. Learn more here.

This week's icon of the week is:
Multiple Perspectives
|
Students contemplate different points of view on an issue or topic and analyze divergent outlooks to interpret their relevance. |
|
GT, or Gifted and Talented, is a program for students who learn quickly, think creatively, and need extra challenges to help their brains grow. While we offer specialized GT services, all students at Timbers engage in enrichment opportunities that spark curiosity and stretch their thinking through the Depth and Complexity framework and focus on an icon of the week. |

We’re excited to welcome lunch visitors to campus! As part of the Wolfpack, your support helps us maintain a safe and positive environment for all students. To help things run smoothly, we ask that you please follow a few guidelines during your visit:
Be sure to sign in and out at the front office before heading to the cafeteria.
Food brought to school should be for your student only. We ask that no food be shared with other students.
Please plan to sit with your student on the stage. For safety reasons, other students will not be able to join.
While we love celebrating, birthday parties and balloons aren’t allowed in the cafeteria. You’re welcome to bring store-bought cupcakes, which will be passed out at the teacher’s convenience.
Photos should be limited to just you and your student, in order to respect others’ privacy.
Food delivery services (like DoorDash or Uber Eats) are not allowed during the school day.
There will be no lunch visitors on STAAR or mock testing days. We’ll send out reminders ahead of time.
To ensure space for everyone, please limit lunch visitors to 3 per student.

Regular attendance is critical to learning in the classroom. When your child is absent from school, please note the following important reminders:
Inform the school within 48 hours to mark the absence as excused using one of these options:
Fill out the online absence form or by clicking the link above
Email the campus attendance office at Paula.Francis@humbleisd.net
Send in a paper note, or take a photo with your phone and send it to the attendance office
Call the school’s attendance office at 281-641-2003
For medical or dental appointments:
Did You Know? Dated health care appointment notes allow the school to mark your child present if they attended any part of the school day, such as before or after their appointment.
When TE students stay in school until 9:35 a.m., it ensures the school receives full funding for the day. Your support in ensuring your child’s attendance not only helps them academically, but also boosts the school’s success.
Thank you for partnering with us to provide the best educational experience for our students. For more information, please visit Important Attendance Information for Parents or view the Attendance Reminders for Elementary & Middle School flyer.
