Dear Families,
This week, our students completed the Fall Reading Mock Assessment, and we are so proud of the effort they demonstrated. We will continue with our Fall Math Mock Testing next week. These assessments are an important opportunity for students to show us what they know and to help our teachers plan instruction moving forward.
To help your child perform at their best, we encourage you to ensure they get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time on their testing day. Being well-rested and ready makes a big difference!
As a reminder, we are now just two weeks away from our Christmas break, and we are still fully engaged in meaningful academic instruction each day. Daily attendance is extremely important, as students continue learning right up until the break.
We also continue to focus on building strong relationships and a positive school culture through our Capturing Kids’ Hearts program. We invite you to ask your child what they are learning about Capturing Kids’ Hearts, including how we show respect, build strong connections, and support one another at school. These conversations help reinforce the importance of these values at home and at school.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership as we work together to help every student succeed.
Warm Regards, Frank Gerga Principal

We’re excited to welcome lunch visitors to campus! As part of the Wolfpack, your support helps us maintain a safe and positive environment for all students. To help things run smoothly, we ask that you please follow a few guidelines during your visit:
Be sure to sign in and out at the front office before heading to the cafeteria.
Food brought to school should be for your student only. We ask that no food be shared with other students.
Please plan to sit with your student on the stage. For safety reasons, other students will not be able to join.
While we love celebrating, birthday parties and balloons aren’t allowed in the cafeteria. You’re welcome to bring store-bought cupcakes, which will be passed out at the teacher’s convenience.
Photos should be limited to just you and your student, in order to respect others’ privacy.
Food delivery services (like DoorDash or Uber Eats) are not allowed during the school day.
There will be no lunch visitors on STAAR or mock testing days. We’ll send out reminders ahead of time.
To ensure space for everyone, please limit lunch visitors to 3 per student.

Regular attendance is critical to learning in the classroom. When your child is absent from school, please note the following important reminders:
Inform the school within 48 hours to mark the absence as excused using one of these options:
Fill out the online absence form or by clicking the link above
Email the campus attendance office at Paula.Francis@humbleisd.net
Send in a paper note, or take a photo with your phone and send it to the attendance office
Call the school’s attendance office at 281-641-2003
For medical or dental appointments:
Did You Know? Dated health care appointment notes allow the school to mark your child present if they attended any part of the school day, such as before or after their appointment.
When TE students stay in school until 9:35 a.m., it ensures the school receives full funding for the day. Your support in ensuring your child’s attendance not only helps them academically, but also boosts the school’s success.
Thank you for partnering with us to provide the best educational experience for our students. For more information, please visit Important Attendance Information for Parents or view the Attendance Reminders for Elementary & Middle School flyer.

Elementary guardians can follow the simple steps found at Rooms support. |
|
Starting in the 2025–2026 school year, Humble ISD will follow a new state law (House Bill 1481) that bans students from using personal communication devices during the school day.
Once students enter the school building in the morning until the dismissal bell rings, personal devices may not be used whether in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, or restrooms. Learn more here. |
