Everyone had a blast with our Booster Sharkathon Fun Run today.
We are SO GRATEFUL FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT!
Thanks to your generosity, the students will benefit from additional Chromebooks and classroom instructional resources that we will be able to purchase. The students will also receive an ice cream sundae one day soon as a campus reward for reaching our goal!

ATTENDANCE
CAMPUS GOAL 96% - YEAR TO DATE = 96.4% (0.1% decrease from last week)
September is designated as Attendance Awareness Month to shine a spotlight on the critical role attendance plays in student success.
Students are encouraged to build strong attendance habits now. Research shows that attendance patterns in September often predict a student’s attendance for the rest of the year.
We aim to reduce chronic absenteeism and ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive academically and socially.
FALL SAFETY DAY
On Friday, September 26, we will be holding a Safety Day at SFE to practice various safety procedures.
Safety Day helps ensure our students and staff are prepared for different scenarios including fire safety, perimeter security, classroom holds, and severe weather.
Administrators and teachers will review and discuss these procedures with students to help them understand their purpose and reduce any concerns.
We appreciate your support and encourage you to discuss these drills with your children at home to further reinforce their importance.
WORLD PEACE DAY
We will celebrate World Peace Day on September 22nd. Our theme this year is "Peace Pals".
Students are invited to dress up on this day in any way that shows peace or kindness. For example, students might want to wear a graphic t-shirt about kindness or a retro 70's peace outfit. Peace to all!
POPCORN/COTTON CANDY EXEMPTION
Students have the option of purchasing a popcorn or cotton candy reward at our SFE Shark Mart with Shark Bucks earned. This reward is then provided at a designated lunch time.
If you prefer your child NOT purchase this reward, email your child's homeroom teacher so he/she can be added to the exemption list.
Please also discuss this with your child so he/she does not try to purchase this item at Shark Mart.
If you emailed your child’s teacher last year to remove them from access to this reward, you will still need to do it again this year as records are updated annually.
Join us for a Spirit Night at Papa John's on September 24th.
There will be a general PTA Meeting on October 8th at 9:00 AM in the cafeteria. We hope to see you there!

Pay Class Party Fees here. This is a fee paid to SFE PTA for student parties. We ask that all families contribute whether they choose to join SFE PTA or not. The activity fee is a different fee requested by the school and is paid to the school via RevTrak. If you have questions about the activity fee, please contact the school.

KMS is hosting a cheer clinic on Saturday, September 27 from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Please see the attached flyer to sign up.
The KHS Fillies are pleased to announce a Dance Clinic for students in Pre-K through 5th grade on October 4. This clinic serves as the Fillies’ primary fundraiser for the year. For additional details, please refer to the attached flyer.
