- Regular attendance is critical to your child’s success at school!
- Official attendance time is 9:03 AM.
- If your child is ever absent, there are several ways to report the absence. Call our absence line at 281-641-2619, email the Attendance Specialist april.ockerman@humbleisd.net, or fill out the Online Absence Excuse Form. It is important that we have documentation of the reason for the absence.
- If your child is absent and you have a doctor’s note, please submit the note to April Ockerman.

We are looking forward to our upcoming traditional SFE Thanksgiving Feast. We ask all visitors planning to attend to pre-register by completing the RSVP form below, regardless of whether a meal will be purchased or not. Please be sure to include your student's name(s) & grade level(s), list all visitors who will attend (using names listed on driver’s license) and then click "submit." We will collect RSVPs through 11:59 PM on Tuesday, November 18th.
Thanksgiving Feast RSVP Link
Once we receive your RSVP, we will pre-print your visitor’s badge. Remember, badges can only be pre-printed for adults who have had their ID scanned in our Raptor system this school year. If you have not had your ID scanned this school year, you are welcome to stop by the front office before November 18th to have it scanned in order to make the check-in process quicker for you on the feast day. On the day of the event, guests who have RSVP'd will stop by the RSVP table to pick up their pre-printed tags. Visitors who do not have a pre-printed badge will need to check in with the front office. ALL visitors need to bring a driver's license identification.
Meal Tickets: All visitors who are planning to purchase an SFE meal are highly encouraged to prepay online ($8 per meal) by 11:59 PM on Wednesday, November 19th, using this link:

- We are thrilled to announce SFE’s first annual Thanksgiving Parade — Balloons Over SFE inspired by the book Balloons Over Broadway. Our celebration will take place on Friday, November 21, at 9:15 AM.
- Our school mascot will serve as parade marshal, leading the parade from the Mills Branch side of the school and around the front along the Autumn Sage side. Our SFE families are invited to come see special hats and headgear, turkeys in disguise, and a display of parade balloons designed by our very talented and creative students! Kindergarten through 4th grade will participate in the parade. (5th graders will view the parade and then enjoy their own Turkey Trot). And just like the real Thanksgiving parade, the parade will conclude with a very special guest appearance — Santa!
- It’s sure to be a picture-perfect morning filled with school spirit. As an added bonus, all students who attend school on Friday, November 21, will receive a “Turkey 10” Shark Buck to spend at Shark Mart. Your child will not want to miss this Shark tradition in the making! Please do your best to have our SFE students in attendance on this day to be a part of the festivities.

PTA REFLECTIONS ART CONTEST |
- The annual PTA Reflections Art Contest is officially underway! This nationwide program gives students a chance to express their creativity through visual art, literature, photography, music, dance, or film; all centered around this year’s theme, “I Belong”.
- Students are encouraged to reflect on what it means to feel accepted, included, and valued. Whether that’s at home, at school, or in their community, and show that feeling through their art. Entries are due by Thursday, November 20. Important: Only students whose parents are current PTA members may submit entries.
- For entry forms, rules, and submission details, please visit the national PTA website for more information.
