Mock Testing

Our Spring benchmark (mock) testing continues this week. To provide students with a focused testing environment, we will operate on an adjusted bell schedule. These assessments may be graded. Individual teachers will share details about how the grade will be applied in their classes.

Womens History Month

We are excited to spotlight the incredible women in our community! Whether you are leading in your profession, mentoring others, serving through volunteer work, or impacting lives every day, we want to celebrate you.  Our students deserve to see powerful examples of women shaping the world around them.

If you are a parent or community member who has made a contribution that supports, uplifts, or advances women, girls, and our community, we invite you to share your story with us.  Please complete the Google Form to be considered for our upcoming spotlight series.

Did You Know?

At KMS, the P in PRIDE stands for Perseverance. Christina Koch, a NASA astronaut who grew up in Texas, holds the record for the longest single spaceflight by a woman, spending 328 days in space.  It was the longest single spaceflight by a woman and the second-longest single spaceflight by any U.S astronaut.  She also participated in the first all-female spacewalk.

Christina Koch's success was not about one big moment. It was about steady effort, resilience, and refusing to quit.  How will you demonstrate KMS PRIDE by showing perseverance in your learning this week?

Safety and Security

Student & staff safety is our top priority. Please review our Campus Safety & Security Plan and discuss safety tips & reminders with your student. Staff & students will engage in campus safety drills, practice safety protocols, and participate in important safety discussions throughout the school year.

See Something, Say Something! iHelp is an anonymous tip line for students, parents, and staff to anonymously share tips that relate to the safety of our school and students. Students can access iHelp in MyHumble or by downloading the app. See the district iHelp webpage for more information.

It is mandatory for all students to wear their school-issued ID cards visibly at all times while on school premises. This policy is designed to enhance the safety & security of our students and staff, while also streamlining various administrative processes within the school. We kindly request your support & cooperation in ensuring that your child wears their ID card visibly every day. If your child misplaces their ID card, they will need to purchase a temporary ID for $1 or a new ID for $5. Payments can be made at this link using Revtrack: bit.ly/KMSBadges.
