National Student Grant Winners |
Two of our National Junior Honor Society students, Aleeza and Makayla, applied for a grant through the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) to support their vision for a Kindness Kit Service Project at KMS. This project will create Kindness Kits for first responders—including police officers, firefighters, and healthcare workers—filled with practical and encouraging items. In addition to serving our community, the project provides students with a hands-on opportunity to spread kindness, build teamwork, and strengthen community connections.
We are proud to share that Makayla and Aleeza have been awarded a NASSP grant, which will bring their idea to life! We are incredibly proud of them, as well as our NJHS sponsor, Ms. Kodi Thomason, for her guidance and support. |

Student & staff safety is our top priority. Please review our Campus Safety & Security Plan and discuss safety tips & reminders with your student. Staff & students will engage in campus safety drills, practice safety protocols, and participate in important safety discussions throughout the school year.
See Something, Say Something! iHelp is an anonymous tip line for students, parents, and staff to anonymously share tips that relate to the safety of our school and students. Students can access iHelp in MyHumble or by downloading the app. See the district iHelp webpage for more information.
It is mandatory for all students to wear their school-issued ID cards visibly at all times while on school premises. This policy is designed to enhance the safety & security of our students and staff, while also streamlining various administrative processes within the school. We kindly request your support & cooperation in ensuring that your child wears their ID card visibly every day. If your child misplaces their ID card, they will need to purchase a temporary ID for $1 or a new ID for $5. Payments can be made at this link using Revtrack: bit.ly/KMSBadges.
