Student Transfer Applications Accepted through Feb 10 |
Parents who would like their child to attend an Humble ISD school that is different from where the child is zoned to attend, based upon their home address, must obtain an Approved Student Transfer. The application period for requesting student transfers for the 2026-2027 school year is Friday, January 9, through Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Please visit the Student Transfers website for more information. Applications are processed in the order they are received.

Instructional Materials Public Showcase Available through Feb 27 |
Humble ISD invites community members to review and provide feedback on instructional materials under consideration for adoption as part of the IMRA Cycle 2025 review for full-subject Tier I resources. The materials being considered include: (A) Secondary Mathematics = Grades 6-8, Algebra I, Algebra II, Algebraic Reasoning, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus, (B) Elementary English/Spanish Language Arts and Reading (Grades K-5) and (C) a new Secondary Social Studies course “African American Studies,” and (D) new Secondary CTE courses “Principles of Transportation” and “Practicum in Human Services - Community Health Worker.” Once adopted, these materials will be implemented in classrooms for the 2026–2027 school year.

The Mental Health & Wellness Fair is a free event organized to help raise awareness, and allow an opportunity to meet and greet with local mental health and wellness providers to learn about available resources in the community! Join us for Story Time with AAC on Saturday, February 28, at Kingwood Branch Library, 4400 Bens View Lane. The Elementary session, ages 3 years to 5th grade, will be 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. and the Secondary session, Grade 6 to 22 years, will be 2 - 3 p.m. Registration is required and space is limited.
Humble ISD's Assistive Technology Department has partnered with the Kingwood Branch Library to provide parent training for individuals who use AAC (Augmentative & Alternative Communication) methods. Lake Houston Family YMCA BridgeFest 2026

Join us for BridgeFest 2026 on Saturday, March 28, at the Lake Houston Family YMCA in Kingwood! This race is designed for all ages, and is a great way to support the community. By participating as an Humble ISD runner, you’re not only contributing to local programs but also benefiting your school! The top three schools with the highest percentage of registered 5K runners will each receive a $500 donation from the YMCA to support their PE department.

The event will feature a chip-timed 5K run/walk, a chip-timed 1-mile kids and adaptive-friendly pre-race, and a fun family festival. Registration is $45 per person for the for the 5K run/walk and $30 for the 1-mile through February 22. Parking and shuttle buses will be available at Creekwood Middle School. Note: Only those who register online will count toward the school challenge because the number of participants will be tracked by online registration.

Athletic Physical Dates Feb 28 & April 25

Humble ISD requires students enrolled in athletics, cheer, drill team, or high school band (Not PE or Middle School Band) during the 2026-2027 school year to have a physical dated February 1, 2026, or later. This year Memorial Hermann and Humble ISD will provide two dates for students to receive physicals: February 28 and April 25.
Although the preference is for the schools listed below to receive their physical on the assigned date, students may attend either date. If transportation to the high schools is needed, please contact your student's coach. |
