 🙋🏻‍♀️ Attendance Update🙋🏾‍♂️
How We’re Doing at Humble Elementary

We want to share an important update regarding attendance. When reviewing our 3-year attendance trends, we have noticed that March attendance is currently tracking lower than in previous years. This dip can have a significant impact on student learning as we approach important end-of-year assessments.

We need your partnership to help turn this around. Every day your child is present makes a difference in their academic success and confidence. Let’s work together to finish the school year strong!

To keep the momentum going, students who demonstrate strong attendance during the month of March will have opportunities to be entered into drawings for special rewards, including Book Nook golden tokens. Showing up every day truly makes a difference!

📚🏆Humble Elementary Takes Top Prize at District Competition📚🏆

Radiant Reader Team: Lucia, Olivia, Ayomiposi, London, Sophia, Janik

Humble Elementary proudly took the top spot at this year’s Battle of the Books—beating every other elementary school in the district!

Our students showed incredible teamwork, dedication, and a true love of reading as they put their book knowledge to the test. We couldn’t be more proud of their hard work and achievement!

A special thank you to Mrs. Todd and Mrs. Lopez for their dedication and coaching.

⭐️Humble ISD 2026-2027 District Teacher of the Year⭐️
Top 10 Finalists Announced

We are excited to share some wonderful news with our school community!  Humble ISD has announced its Top 10 finalists for District Teacher of the Year, selected from 50 campus Teachers of the Year across the district. These finalists were chosen based on a rigorous application and interview process.

🎉 We are incredibly proud to celebrate our very own finalist:
Monica Suastes – 2nd Grade Dual Language Teacher

Mrs. Suastes’ dedication, passion, and commitment to our students truly shine, and we are honored to have her represent Humble Elementary at the district level.

The final winners will be announced at the Humble ISD Education Foundation Boots & Bling event on April 10. We are cheering her on and know she represents our campus with excellence!

Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Suastes on this outstanding achievement!

👕 Dress Code Reminders 🩳

As temperatures rise, please ensure student clothing meets Humble ISD guidelines—shorts and outfits should not be excessively tight, short, or revealing. Tank tops, spaghetti straps, open-back shirts, and midriff-baring tops are not permitted.

Students out of dress code will be asked to go to the office/nurse and change into appropriate attire. If needed, they may call home or be provided clothing. The dress code policy can be found in the Humble ISD Parent Handbook (p.69)

Students grow quickly, so items that fit earlier in the year may no longer meet dress code. When in doubt, please choose a different outfit.

Thank you for your support in helping maintain a positive learning environment!
