BATTLE OF THE BOOKS DISTRICT COMPETITION

You are invited to attend the Humble ISD Battle of the Books Competition to be held on March 7th at Kingwood High School from 9:00 - 3:30.  Come cheer on our team as we compete against the other elementary schools in the district.  

You can also meet Battle of the Books authors Nell Cross Beckerman (Volcanoes) and Ally Russell (It Came From the Trees) from 12pm - 1pm.  Local Food trucks will be on hand as well as a book fair, tons of FUN activities, and even a raffle for an eReader, gift cards to local businesses and more.

Take Care of Texas Art Contest

 The Take Care of Texas Art Contest is now open! This year’s theme, "Ways to Keep our Water Clean," is the perfect way for your K–5 students to blend science and creativity while learning how to protect our state’s most precious resource.

Why your students (and you!) will love it:

Student Prizes: Winners in each grade category will win a new laptop, and runners-up will receive an iPad.

Teacher Reward: One lucky teacher will be chosen at random to win an iPad or a gift card of equal value for their classroom!.

Statewide Recognition: Winners will be celebrated on the Take Care of Texas website and recognized by state commissioners.
