Message from Principal Fennell
Thanks, Parents, for a great start to the school year! We ended our last week with a Pep Rally to just have some fun and excitement before students went into the weekend. Thank you for your partnership in making the start of the school year so smooth. We are excited about the journey ahead and all the growth this year will bring.
As we move forward, please stay connected through our Panther Post, school website, and Rooms for classroom communication.

Arrival Reminders
Arrival: Make sure you use the arrival and dismissal procedures. Arrival-Dismissal Procedures
Crosswalk: Walkers please be aware of crossing guards and wait for them to stop traffic and wave for you to follow. ALWAYS remember to look both ways.
Keep Traffic Flowing: Please refrain from cutting off traffic on Valley Lodge and going around other vehicles. Please keep the lanes clear and flowing.
Undesignated Areas: DO NOT let students out at undesignated areas that are not clear from traffic. Students may be dropped off at the crosswalk and the car rider area.
Turn Signals and Cell Phones: Please use turn signals and stay off cell phones to keep yourself and others safe.
Special Car Signs: IF turning into the front office parking lot, please use the specific card sign that was given to you by your teacher. This is for PREK, Lifeskills and SPED services. No other cars may use the daycare/bus drop off area. Please go through the car rider line if you do not have a specific card.

HAC Update for Returning Students
All returning students are REQUIRED to complete their annual HAC update and submit current proof of residency. This allows us to have the best contact information for each student. Please make sure this is completed before Panther Camp on August 11.

The Knight School - Chess Club
Our Atascocita Springs Elementary Chess Team wants you! Beginners are welcome and the first two weeks are always free promo weeks so come check us out! This year take the plunge and join Coach Shayna as we laugh and train in daily mardi-gras bead chess tourneys and compete for prizes in our daily music-driven chess puzzlers and watch zany chess movies and inter-face and inter-train with 20 sister chess teams including Groves Elementary and many others. There has never been a party-based approach to chess like this, and our unique, kid-oriented philosophy has made us 51-0 in our history, and counting!
Our high-energy chess classes are developmentally and cleverly targeted directly at the kindergarten through 7th-grade set! Come join the fun as kids learn to love learning, learn that they are unspeakably smart, and learn how to absolutely cream their parents in chess! PTO News and Information
Paint the Tile
Please give us a book title that you will be painting your tile in the theme of, and also send a backup book title. We will email you which title is approved. (Most will be!).
The event will be: September 19, 2024 @6pm
(Paint, a paint tray, paint brush, and apron will be provided. If you would like to bring additional, personal paint brushes, you may, but the paint must the the paint provided by the school as it has already been pre-approved.)
